The Leucate resort is located at the foot of Mount Canigou, close to the castles of Corbières and Qatar. Please note that Leucate is one of the few resorts in the Mediterranean to offer yachting courses. Bordering the beaches of Port Barcares, south of the resort is Aqualand Beach in Port Leucate. Lecat Central Beach stretches from the bottom of the cliff to the Galion parking lot. It is the most family-friendly beach in Lecat with two rescue stations (one in the parking lot in the center of the village and the other in Galion.
