The symbolic symbol of Chipiona is the highest lighthouse in Spain. It is also the 3rd tallest lighthouse in Europe and the 5th in the world (although I must add that I read a lot of conflicting information about this). The bottom line here is that it is a very old and large lighthouse .
To be fair, it does not look so tall when you are standing at its base, but you can physically feel its size when you begin to climb 350 spiral steps.
The panoramic view from the top is literally breathtaking , allowing you to see the scale of the famous fishing coral reefs near the city and the sun-drenched coastline.
You can find nutmeg, or sweet wine made from nutmeg grapes throughout Andalusia, but in Chipion it is one of the best.
It seemed to me that at any time of the day you can drink nutmeg in Chipion. Whether it was morning, lunch or dinner, before or after meals, there was always a glass in my hand with the inscription “salud!”.
